Garrick is a data scientist and a full-stack R developer at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL where he uses R on a daily basis for data cleaning and validation and to create dynamic, reproducible and interactive reports and data visualizations. He’s particularly fond of creating bespoke R packages and Shiny apps to support common and painful data processing tasks with ergonomic and supportive functions. Most of all, he loves teaching and mentoring data analysts and data scientists of all experience levels to master the powerful tools provided by R, especially R Markdown, Shiny, and the packages of the tidyverse.
