Carl is currently Director of Education for RStudio and has been using and teaching R since 2002. His teaching portfolio spans data science applications that include market research, big data, and interactive dashboards. Carl’s ability to explain complex ideas simply has drawn international attention throughout his career, resulting in speaking and media appearances throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Today, he lives with his wife and two cats in the Boston area and dedicates his time to RStudio Education’s mission to train the next million R users and to promote data literacy globally.
