Éric was first in charge of regional economic and demographic studies in France, within the National Institute of Statistics (Insee), where he developed strong skills in open data processing, effective visual communication and teaching. Passionate about statistical maps, he then created his own company and developed a web-based interactive statistical mapping and datavisualisation tool (Géoclip). At Icem7, he shares practical tutorials, teaches R based on real-world datasets and promotes reproducible open data flows. He enjoys using R/Tidyverse and other elegant technologies such as D3/observable or Apache Arrow in a complementary way.
