Astrid is a freshly-minted Molecular Biology PhD (University of Cape Town, South Africa) and data science educator. She wants to make learning to code more accessible to everyone, especially those for whom such a skill-set would greatly improve their quality of life. When she is not writing R code, she is going on cycles with her wife, sewing or organising R-Ladies Cape Town community events.
