Maria is an Assistant Professor of the Practice at Duke, where she teaches a variety of undergraduate statistics courses. In addition to teaching, she is interested in understanding factors that impact students’ self-efficacy in statistics and in exploring new ways technology can be used to increase student engagement in large classes. Maria enjoys teaching R and using it to make statistics and data science more approachable.
