Yuka has a master’s in bioinformatics and is currently a PhD student in the Genome Science and Technology program at UBC. She is also a certified Carpentries instructor, and has been teaching and developing curriculum for introductory data science classes to graduate students, post-docs, and principal investigators in the US and Canada since 2016. Her passion is to help empower researchers with the ability to analyze their own data and conduct reproducible research.
